New York's Funniest Reporter Show is an annual New York City based event that features members of the national media each performing 5 minutes of stand up comedy in order to raise money for the (Humane Society of New York ). At the end of each show a winner is selected. In order to prepare for the event, each reporter is given 1-2 professional comedy mentors (often stand up comedians) who help them write jokes & learn the basics of stand up comedy.
